Yes, yes, I know what all you crazy cat people are thinking: “OMG NO! How can you take pictures while your cat is about to be eaten!!! I’m reporting you to the Humane Society!!!”

Well, let me just say that (1) Kitty can take care of herself.

(2) The Red-Shouldered Hawk isn’t that big and hangs around the backyard rather a lot. And Kitty freakin’ OWNS the backyard, so he’s seen Kitty plenty of times. I just happened to be there with my camera this time.

Most importantly, (3) Kitty was sitting in Hawk’s spot on the fence. Really: Hawk lands there all the time. Pretty much every morning and evening. And this is the first time I’ve ever seen Hawk land on the neighbor’s roof. Kitty knew damn well what she was doing when she was taunting Hawk like that.

Still, I’m not sure what will happen when Kitty desides to piss off Eagle.
